The town's castle, built in the 12th century, is well worth a visit. It has been visited by many famous Scotsmen, such as Robert the Bruce in 1307. It was rebuilt after a fire by the Earl of Huntly in 1452. Huntly is surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland, including the largest forest in Aberdeenshire, Clashindarroch Forest. The forest is popular with cross country skiers in winter and is ideal for outdoor activities all year round.

Special dietary requirements can be met on request. Tariffs are competitive with any Aberdeen guest house and are as follows:
Double & Twin Rooms - £25 single occupancy - £40 per room for two sharing, Family room - £30 single occupancy - £22.50 per person, Single - £20 per night - Please note that only cash or cheque payments are accepted.
There are specially reduced rates for children under 10.
