Located just outside Newmachar, fifteen minutes from the heart of the city of Aberdeen and ten minutes from the International airport, Disblair House Hotel is a delightful family owned and run bed and breakfast. This charming stone built family home is listed and dates back to the early 16th century, with many original features. The relaxing home from home interior of this lovely accommodation is full of antiques and family treasures that really make you feel like part of the family.
The wonderful warm welcome and complimentary drink from proprietors Karolyn and Chris makes you feel all the more welcome, if that were at all possible! Spending time in this tranquil and serene location is just the perfect antidote to the stresses and strains of modern living.
There are three well-appointed guest rooms to choose from for your stay at Disblair House; a twin room, a double room and a four-poster bedroom. Naturally each one is en-suite, apart from the spacious and grand four-poster bedroom, which has its own private bathroom, with both a bath and a shower. All the rooms have a TV with a DVD player and Freeview channels and guests can use the house DVD library. There's a roaring log fire to welcome you into the drawing room and an honesty bar to make your evening 'at home' complete.
Breakfast is delicious, and includes a full Scottish breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients, a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, and croissants.
Feel free to roam the five acres of immaculate grounds, and enjoy the scenery. Children are always welcome at Disblair House and those under the age of twelve stay for free! You can even have a great family holiday with your dog too! There are also great discounts for long stay holidays and breaks.
The house is close to Aberdeen with all its fabulous attractions, shopping, dining and cultural entertainment, and is ideally located for guests who enjoy country sports, such as shooting, fishing and golf: There's even a gun safe for guests on hunting holidays. The region is superb for walkers and cyclists, and has many exhilarating sports to try including skiing, canoeing and rock climbing. Those looking for a more relaxed stay will enjoy the local Whisky trail, and the local castles.
